Unlocking Ixali quests

Everywhere I read online it says that to unlock the Ixali beast tribe quests, I simply have to have finished the quest "In Pursuit of the Past", which I did many years ago, and visit the NPC named Scarlet in New Gridania. I can't seem to get the quest from Scarlet though. She just stares are me wondering why I keep harassing her.

Are there any other requirements I'm missing? Do I have to be part of the Twin Adder (I'm Maelstrom)? Not sure where to go from here

Alright, so now I see the issue. I thought the issue was that I still needed to do the quest A Bad Bladder, but it looks like I already did that quest and I needed to talk to the NPC in North Shroud as a DoH/DoL. I thought the red quest marker above his head meant that I needed to unlock the beast tribe still. Never mind!

First, look into your journal and search for the quest "A Bad Bladder", maybe you completed it already. If so, it should be under ther "Beast Tribe (ARR)" tab under completed.
Ixali quests are located in the North Shroud around X: 24.5, Y: 23.5
Don't forget every other Ixali quests then the unlocking quest requires that you are a crafter to accept them.
Also later Ixali quests are requireing that you have a gatherer class.

1. I never did "A Bad Bladder" in the past
2. I am Level 60+ and did the Mainstory until now
3. The NPC Scarlet in New Gridania don't give me the quest, don't show me the quest, there is nothing
4. To continue the quest "Reaching for Cloud Nine" which you get in North Shroud from the NPC "Sezul Totoloc", you need the item "Ehcatl Wristgloves" which you only get after you have finished the initial Quest "A Bad Bladder". Otherwise you can't craft the needed item for the quest.

Conclusion: Currently bugged and not possible to continue. I read that many players have the same problem but no one was able to help or offer a fix to this.

I will write a ticket now which means that it will take a "while" till it gets fixed.

The quest "Reaching for Cloud Nine" only shows up after you've completed "A Bad Bladder". You most likely discarded your Ehcatl Wristgloves at some point. Try talking to the Ixali Vendor to see if you can reclaim the gloves from there. Otherwise, you might have to talk to a Calamity Salvager.

Last time I checked that vendor, I think he sold the gloves for 1 Oak knot.

Those are different gloves. The ones that are needed for the quests are sold for Gil.

xMihari - That picture doesnt actually show us anything - aside from the fact that youve done very few gridanian quests. You showed us the "Gridanian Sidequests" portion of the Sidequests tab - the light blue one with the chat bubble icon. Beast quests get their own tab - you want to check the next one to the right with the little sylph icon over the darkening blue background with the big 1. Thats the tab for "Beast Tribe Quests (A Realm Reborn)", then each tribe has their own sub-tab, just like gridanian sidequests is just a sub-tab of the overall sidequests entry. This is where "A Bad Bladder" would be on your list. As stated, the quests beyond that basically require you to be a crafter to accept and do them. If you need new Ehcatl Wristgloves the "Ixali Vendor" has them under the "Purchase Items" option for 145 gil.
