Sounds like they won't be addressing any issues with dark knight until everyone stops playing it. Guess we'll just have to wait it out till 5.0.
Naoki Yoshida:
While we are always looking closely at community opinions on adjustments, the team currently feels that these recent changes have not made a largely visible disparity between the classes. ..."

Well if they think DRK is Balanced then id say SiO change was unessesery, it old version was as useful as DRK Sole survivor but for somereson SE is not rushing to change that skill even if it useable usecases in Boss fight fall same or even less times then Old SiO had.
Whit that statement from yoshi will even more deminish DRK numbers because i know quite few DRK players who still play because of hope of change.
This kind of statements from Yoshi only make them give up faster.

I have a feeling we wont see any changes to drk till 5.0 and anything between now and then will be potency changes but better things have happened for other classes so who knows.

Well, there it is.
I don't like it at all because it basically confirms we're the new HW Paladin, but it least it's a reply directly to someone talking about DRK compared to the other tanks instead of silence.
I can't join you guys abandoning the job because I enjoy it too much, but I understand if folks decide to jump ship because of this.
Honestly, situation is nowhere near HW PLD. Nobody exclude DRK from raid PFs/statics. But yeah, some adjustments would be nice.we're the new HW Paladin
Yeah I agree we are not a meme job yet, which sucks since at the very least if we were a meme class we could look forward to some adjustments.
HW Paladin had it way better than SB DRK. There were actually things in HW that PLD could do better than any other tank, and areas where they had unique, useful skills that couldn't be replicated by either of the other tanks. They weren't given enough scenarios where they were allowed to shine, and WAR's 3.x dominance killed any chance that PLD had, but they still had a solid niche.
SB DRK is just categorically worse than every other tank at everything. It doesn't matter that the gap between DRK and another tank is smaller than the gap between PLD and DRK in Heavensward when SB DRK has no strong points and no actual niche to specialize in - it's a worse situation than HW PLD found itself in.
Yes they are categorically weaker, but still being taken and not bared out of content by the community like PLD was in 3.x, while kit wise pld had a niche, but let us be frank I rather be a sub par job compared to the other jobs but still have a slot, unlike pld in 3.x which was mocked and bared by the community from most end game content.
So fact of the matter the community has yet to shut the door on DRK so we can still play a tanking class we enjoy without being mocked by the community. So yeah I disagree that 3.x plds were better off, being has pld players had to deal with community backlash, while DRK has yet to reach that point yet.
Go on FFLogs and look at the usage statistics for PLD throughout Midas and Creator. There were as many, and often more Paladins clearing the first three fights in each of those two tiers than there were Dark Knights, and the story is similar through most/all of the HW primals.
Paladin was only excluded at the high end, for groups doing speedruns. SB DRK is only doing marginally better in that regard than HW PLD was, except that HW PLD was useful and popular at the lower end. DRK is underperforming at all levels.
