*looks at other MMORPGs where tanks that are similar to DRK have high damage output and enfeeblements galore as well as lifesteal naturally built in as a trait*
DRK had better get buffed in 4.2 otherwise I might not have any sanity left...

Dark Knight's mitigation is little to nonexistent having to cross-role Rampart just to have one of the few cooldowns it already had prior to Stormblood in the form of Shadow Skin while Warrior has all it's previous cooldowns aside from bloodbath. Shadow Wall is on too high of a cooldown for the mitigation it provides when compared to Sentinel and Vengenace. The Blackest Night is clunky and has to be planned in such a way that it cannot be utilized to mitigate damage spikes outside of tank busters, and it drains MP Dark Knight is the only tank that has to give up damage dealing resources in exchange for mitigation.The utility is pretty straight forward when compared to the myriad of skills that Paladin brings and Warrior's Shake it off, Dark Knight's The Blackest Night is majorly behind.Then the damage is behind due to Dark Knight lacking buffs in it's combo rotations and inability to spam it's highest hitting attack unlike Paladin and Warrior.

DRK theme song, AMIRITE?
Be cool if DRK's lore gave off the vibe this song does. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the current lore but meh.
I still feel like DRK should be a class that revolves around near death, lowHP Highpower and life steal. Like the closer we are to being dead the stronger we become, risk and reward. Bloodspiller do more damage the lower our HP is but maximum HP is baseline dmg. Give us a skill that sacrifices some of our HP to increase DPS and its not linked to MP. In that token give us a skill that turns our MP into HP for a critical situation like Aqua Vitae so we have control both ways. Less reliance on MP for ALL our power boosting and DPS skills so we actually have it for other things like Aggro, HP transfer (Aqua Vitae), Buffs(life steal)/debuffs if possible.
There's so many things I'd like to see happen to dark knight but I feel like the devs don't have any plans to change DRK or are currently satisfied with it? Its not fair to the ones that currently like it anyway. Maybe we will see some kind of DPS reaper class that gives off the old feeling of HP transfering for power and living on the edge of your HP with some kind of deep dark lore and aesthetics. Succumb to the void.
Edit: Imagine a fight you lose regardless of how hard you tried, on the verge of death you watch your companion skewered. With a second wind and a blood resurgence you have walking dead on for a minute to annihilate the enemy with blood and MP on regen and our eyes void of life. Upon defeating the foe, you say your farewell to your companion and he/she urges you with his/her last breathe to continue to fight your inner demons and keep on truckin along for others while transfering whats left of their life to yours or something. These kinds of powerful scenes are the kind of lore I crave for this class for some reason, one with misery and pushing the boundary of death/sacrifice for others.

But I do agree with the idea of DRK being made into a Drain tank, similar to the Blood Death Knight in World of Warcraft. If it's going to have such a scarce amount of mitigation, it should be able to heal the hell out of itself. Good thing I'm not on the Balance team. I'd do crazy stuff like:
-Siphon Strike: Heals 50% of damage done(100% in Grit). Dark Arts increases healing % by 50
-Soul Eater: Heals 50% of damage done (100% in Grit). Dark Arts increases Heal% by 50
I'd push for stuff like that and include Blood Spiller, Quietus and Abyssal Drain (non DA) healing you a well. Just a LOT of personal sustain to make up for the lack of a "fluff" cooldown. (Raw Intuition, Bulwark)
Quality of life effects, like cutting Blood Price/Weapon cooldowns to 30 seconds and Delirium to 60 for the sake of raid buffs, but someone else has already gone over that.
There`s a few more minor things I'd change but I'm not one to type walls-o`-text often so I'll just stop.

I would LOVE a self-heal heavy DRK with TBN and their other CDs still present. 2.0 WAR's issue was ALL it had were self heals and Foresight, I think if personal heals made up the "fluff" damage but they still have good old fashioned CDs for dealing with tankbusters it'd be awesome, because it would also turn them into a more selfish tank that isn't reliant on a healer for well...everything.Actual Dark Knight theme

A minor thing that has probably been mentioned, but miss me with 87 pages is Blood Weapon and Blood Price sharing a button like those two warrior abilities that pop up depending on stance. All the talk of reducing button bloat leading up to Stormblood and Dark Knight has at least one literally unusable button at any given time depending on whether or not Grit is active.
Makes no sense to me.
