Damn, prolly one of the most savage and witty comments I've read so far this year. I actually lol'd.
Kinda ironic that stormblood questline the soulstone breaks and so does the class itself from what I hear. I never got to experience HW dark knight so...
Mained it in 3.0 loved it and did everything on it then when i got into SB i hit 70 and instantly dropped it for SAM.
The current DRK design is just full of self contradiction and its severely underwhelming in multiple fronts compared to both PLD and WAR.
Playstyle wise there is no longer a high risk/reward to it and its become extremely simple boring and ineffective there is not much to optimize on DRK because the class wont let you.
Love how WARs can fit vengeance for some tankbusters back to back, while DRKs need life support after using shadow wall. PLD really needs to get their damage potential lowered if they can just run in circles like a monkey and spam their -26% sheltron every 25 secs while doing the same damage as a WAR. Heck, PLD's rotation even ignores trick attack while optimizing, how more simple can it get? *cries in drk*

My personal Dark Knight Wishlist:
Bring back scourge: As a third combo finisher, every other tank class has a second dps combo finisher with a DOT, why not DRK? it could add some variety to gameplay outside 1-2-3 dark-arts-spam. That's my primary gripe about any rotation issues on DRK.
Change up Dark Mind:Have it so non-DA Dark Mind work as normal, but then have DA+DM protect against both magic and physical attacks.
Reduce Shadow Wall cool down to 2 minutes (Most people want this)
Get rid of the delay when activating Bloodspiller + make it oGCD with a short CD: The way it currently works feels a bit clunky to me.
Remove mp requirement for Dark Passenger or change its mp value back to 3.xx levels: in its current state, it's just not a useful skill.
Replace Living Dead with an ultimate that doesn't outright kill you:
Just a bit of a wishlist, and some of it does feel like it'd be a bit too OP, but it felt appropriate to at least throw in my 2 cents about the job.
