    Honestly, just because I can handle the monster pulls doesn't mean I want to every damn time. If a tank can't be bothered to fscking ask first, I've started letting them die. Tired of this implicit communication bullshit. Use party chat. Ask. Decide on a pull size. Be a decent human being. Takes 30 seconds.

    Maybe groups should just communicate. People are so bent on "efficiency" that they can't be bothered to sort these things out in the beginning of the dungeon because spending a few extra minutes in a dungeon is unacceptable. Sorting out how things are going to go at the start of the dungeon would avoid a lot of these childish things.

    You can also use the feature known as "party chat" to let the tank know. I ask what kind of pulls at the start of the dungeon, 99% of the time, no one responds. I default to small pulls. I'd be happy to pull more, all one has to do is ask.

When I recognize someone wants to stay in that trench, I acknowledge it's futile to argue for bigger pulls and self improvement and just go along with the pace and turn on autopilot. That's when I stop caring, because no matter what I do, I will not gain anything from the run.

    this. if you refuse to get better, you'll always be a scrub.

    Tanking dungeons is super easy. I hardly ever tank and i manage pretty well. Theres a few basic things to look out for, and other than that its just pushing a very few buttons.

    If you're gonna turn into a diva because I suggest pulling more or actually do it, alright then. Either I'll eat penalty, or have you votekicked...or I may just silently move along, but you sure bet my motivation to perform well isnt gonna be
    on point. Not because I'm spiteful, but more like ruining my fun is demotivating.

    I honestly dont care if youre gonna let me die if I pull. So what? I'll ress up and thats it lol
    And also why are people so freakin scared to wipe? You dont learn without failing, ever. So I'd rather have a tank try a bigger pull and fail than having him never try.

    This doesn't actually make sense here. People have grown complacent since HW in terms of pulls because we overgeared dungeons a lot for the past few months. In Leveling now people are still gearing and learning, and honestly since the mobs hit a good deal harder when you're not in end-game content and overgeared the tank has to learn where everything is at before they can plan how they're going to pull. I'm not tilting over the 'pull everything' mentality but I'm neither coming from the scrub mentality as you call it, but it literally is a bit unnerving that DPS are telling the Tank to pull more when the tank is not comfortable with their capabilities yet. Give Tanks a few runs and they probably will figure it out.

    If you put yourself in that person's shoes, what do you think they think? There's always expectations of what people do, but even though it's human to judge people around here apparently judge others harshly just because "IT'S NOT OPTIMAL".

    As much as optimization is useful, there are still people not knowing how to play their job or how to do large pulls and it's a learning process. Being considerate about a person's playstyle is respecting the player as a whole, good or bad. If they're having a lot of issues, try and throw them some tips about it instead of flat-out kicking people. If you've had tanking experience, try and share how you generally pull; it may give them some ideas.

    @Faliandra and JunseiKei

    If you want to set the dungeon pace you can always tank them yourself, you get the benefit of near-instant queues as well, so you'll save a lot of time.

    "You pull it, you tank it." That has always been my motto. I adjust my pulls based on the performance of the party, I do one big pull at the start (dungeon permitting) and if the healer/dps can keep me alive and kill it in a reasonable amount of time I'll go big the whole dungeon.

    Conversely, if the healer is new or struggling then I'm pulling small the whole way.

Clearly lacking any kind of respect for fellow players here. Probably doing everyone a favour when you eat a penalty and leave or get vote kicked.

    Oh My God! I always do that too! it's like the best feeling when you see them running around like headless chicken to their death
    They say the queue for DPS is absurdly long, yet they do not appreciate when they get a tank to do dungeon... geez! Seems they really enjoy queing for another 30 min or more lel...
