Many players have leveled their jobs mostly through POTD and have little experience tanking in actual dungeons, it also explains why so many may also be undergeared.oh yeah, I have all my tanks at 60 and my pld will be at 70 soon. At some point, ill get drk and war to 70 too. And you know what? I wont really use them for roulettes.
And its not because of possible DF harassment...or else I wouldnt be maining healers lol. I just level every class, but I play what I enjoy most.
many people have all classes lvled.
there goes your logic.
There goes your logic.
In the end, people who get tired of people pulling for them will run with their fc mates and avoid randoms entirely, along with the other tanks. It's BECAUSE randoms like to butt heads with the tank that I rarely want to tank outside of helping my fc mates. And im sure it's the same for others.
If you guys cannot compromise with the tank somehow then this will always be something that is a problem.
my motto is from Sastasha to the level 70 dungeons pull as much as you can, as a healer this is awuful but ive killed more tanks on small pulls than big ones from not paying attention , small pulls are just boring point blank, by level 70 unless its a hard hittin add no tank should be still pullin three adds

Lol, I just found a thread on the Wow forums that is just like this one, DPS pulling is not just an issue on this game it seems

oh, yuck ><; it's sad that that mentality is starting to get into older games. Back in my day, you stuck to your role or you got kicked. Granted, back then, roles were more strict. I mained mages mostly and in some of the games, if you got dumb and pulled ahead of the tank, you knew it was your fault because you were the glass cannon and no amount of blaming the tank would erase the fact that you shouldn't be facerolling the mobs.

As a healer, gonna throw in my 2cents;
I don't mind large pulls (2~3 packs of mobs) with a tank that knows what they're doing (uses CDs effectively, is able to actually hold all of the mobs), and dps that have effective AoE and know how to use it. A pull this size, although large, still allows me to stun lock at the beginning, get some HoTs up, and Aero3 etc while the dps whittle them away.
What I do mind though, is tanks who overpull their party's skill level - If they're pulling 5+ groups of mobs, are undergeared, and their HP keeps going down regardless of how many CDs I use, or cures I throw at them, THEN I have an issue. [Newsflash - saying 'spam harder' doesn't magically negate the GCD... I wish it did, but it doesn't.] I had this happen in a run of Doma Castle close to when SB was released - tank couldn't see why they were dying so quickly when they pulled from the start of the dungeon, all the way up to (and including) the gunships on their first run of that dungeon.
I like to be really busy in dungeons, but not 'frantic' constantly- I absolutely hate panic/twitch healing, but I don't mind being kept on my toes (does that make sense?)
Small pulls (single groups) bore me, but if the tank is new or the dps aren't up to par then I'll not say a word and help speed things up by throwing some nukes out.
Communication is key!
Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of another, always at the same time as an end and never simply as a means

Few people forget something : "I" is not "everyone". "Me" as example, is a bad, if not the worst, demonstration. People really need to be carefull about use of I, it can be use only if it is NOT considered as universal (and that's less easy).

I have no problem what pace the tank chooses when I'm healing if they respect my limitation. I'm all up for big pulls but if we wipe, tone it down. Also, if they are new, learn the layout before you mass pull. Had a new tank pull the 3 walls and the 4 previous adds right before Bardam 1st boss. He then proceeded in pointing the aoes at the party.
However, I also ran across a few tanks who were not new who had no business pulling mass pulls and it wiped us and caused some stressful situations. A prime example was yesterday when i had a tank who had the same amount of hp as the dps.

Who has the most experience and knowledge of what the tank can handle? That's right, the tank. They know their item level, their available cooldowns during each pull, their chosen role skills and how well they handle the job and role at that moment in time. Moreover, pulls are the easiest to execute for everyone involved when tank gets to engage enemies first.
For the above reasons only the tanks should do the pulling. Let the tank do their job. Let the new tank practice every aspect of the role including judging the group's abilities and engaging enemies. Overpulling and wiping is not the only way to get better. The tank might have a pretty good idea of the right pull size without needing to prove everyone else in the party wrong and adding to the repair bill. If you have a problem with the speed, speak, and the tank will most likely consider it. However, the tank is most suited person to estimate appropriate pulls so their vote should obviously weigh more than other party members' votes when it comes to pull size. Don't get petty if you don't get your way. You can always play as tank if you really need to lead the group.

If you are a tank pace yourself slowly if you or you're healer is new, but if noone is new just say hey I'm pulling big Is that fine and most of the time the healer will say yes unless you're a WAR lol jk
Also I haven't seen dps pull since early HW but I am very guilty of the pulling as a healer because I also tank and it makes me mad when a fully geared tank pulls like 3mobs lol like are you serious! I am going to make you earn that cracked cluster cookie lol but I definitely need to work on letting the tank be bad or good instead of critiquing themsorry
