Progress Report: "Gathering"

[Thought I'd start something that going in a different direction]

-Subject Gathering/Woodsman (botany) "Low Areas: Breech, Black and Beard.
Yesterday: I traveled to each region; Ul'dah, Limia Limsa , and Grindia

Start and Finish: Guildleves; each region; total 6. Transportation: Airships and Chocobos . Estimated time of til Completion: 10 - 15 minutes each. Total Estimate Time: close to 45 minutes - 1 hour.

Achievements: I must say it, that lacking feeling is still there "is that all?" after finishing gathering. In my option not long after starting gathering again some sort of achievement should have popped. a grats on doing your first gathering (*its not my first of course but it could have been if I was first starter.)

Guildleves/quest: After completion that feeling of "is that it?" is still there, rewards so far don't seem special, (*however random it may have been I started leveling GLD yesterday then so getting attire for a level 1 was good). Sometime I'd do wish I could here the continuation of the NPCs that issue the leves quest or meet up with him or she.

Non-guildleves: I still must do them.

Abilities: Let's me see, Courel Step; it's a decent addition; helps at times avoid monster, and at the same time lacks dept, it could be so much more. the Other Abilities; haven't changed for gather yet. I'll withhold farther commenting until more comes of it.

Revised Items: gathering areas have become more "ordered" and it's more easy, I'll move on to other high areas once all is understood about the lower.

My Comments: I've got to say after taking my leave from FFXIV a few months ago I felt refreshed edit: when I coming back (*guess it's because I'm a level 30 Botanist.] If this truly is a restarting point in the game then in my option this is "very good". True more need be added, but overall things have become better.

today or tomorrow I'll check "gathering" out once more and report my progress here once more.

I don't understand what you're talking about here. "Must do them" Must do what?

I don't understand your overall point of the post. Very many things are brought up, but some of it is more of a statement rather than a question. I guess you're trying to ask for an increased feeling of overall purpose as a gatherer?

1) True I could have been more specific about that part. gathering without guildleves, Non-guildleve, in my book would refer to activities without the use of guildleves = regular gathering = grinding for items. still confused?.

2) "It's a statement rather then a question", you're correct Raldo, I'm stating my experience in-game and state ideas on possibly what could improve FFXIV. it's an in-direct way of doing it though.
