I don't mind "relaxed" healers if they're competent, or in content where two healers aren't really needed.

When I know the other healer or can tell they're healing smart, a lack of heals isn't a big deal, since I know they'll be ready for the room-wide AoE. DPSing becomes much easier as well.

But that's rarely the case. It feels like the PUG healers I get rarely heal (e.g. Noct sect ASTs who don't shield) or heal too much. You end up having to overcompensate since they don't prepare for tankbusters, or run their MP dry spamming Medica II.

I've actually been pleasantly surprised by DPS party members in SB. RDMs are always on top of Raises, BLMs will Mana Shift me, and BRDs offer Refresh. Even a single RDM offers more utility than a lazy healer.
