That's the point of shields...? They're there as a buffer. That's legitimately what they're there for, to take one or two hits at maximum and nothing else. That doesn't change the fact that an AST's has higher potency shields for far less of a cost, nor that their single shield is an instant cast where as SCH's takes two seconds to proc at almost 1.8k cost. In an expansion where damage mitigation is so essential THIS IS HUGE as you can legitimately turn a devastating tank buster into a normal hit, except AST's don't even have to learn the rotation of the fight to learn when best to proc theirs. If you see the cast bar as a SCH you've already lost your chance to put out an Adlo, where as AST's can literally throw out something twice as good INSTANTLY. It also doesn't help that AST shields and SCH overwrite one another, so SCH legitimately have to sit and do nothing but DPS and the occasional lustrate if the AST in their party refuses to switch out of Noct. That is overpowered.

Except nerfing one slightly isn't breaking all three?? At all? In fact you're the one whose been advocating that all three need to be nerfed as the solution? I'm wondering if you're honestly a troll at this point.

I've never advocated nerfing any class at all, ever. Go back and check. You can nerf AST, but you'll then be back to boosting all 3 healers. I've only ever advocated to boosting them to be equal in power. If anyone is trolling, it's most assuredly you.

The class was very broken at the start. It took some balancing to get them right. I'm not sure why they decided to break the others that were fine top begin with. They really need to ask themselves what they feel a healer should do. Look at the 3 and see which ones do each of those things right, and boost the others to equalize them. Then, and only then, can you consider lowering anything, but it has to happen to all 3 at once. Nerfs almost always go too far in the wrong direction.

I see where I got confused here, and I do apologize for that. Though I still very much do not agree because of power creep.
