Dont like the idea that all the races look Human. Would of been good idea to have a race which isn't human faced. It would also add alot of intresting aspects in lore, cutscenes and gameplay. I would like to kill me some Bangaa Bandits.







Viera is most likely everyones choice cus its very close to Playboy Bunny and looks hot. Nothing like a Viera in high heels.

I can see Burmecian fitting very well in the world but the work required is fair bit to input with models and armor sets also Burmecian killing a Qiqirn would be murder no?

also I want to see a "Giant Enemy Crab" in the game so we can hit its weak spot and do massive damage

I would love new races if there were no downsides, but I am against it because of the following issue:

You know that argument that the dev team re-uses gear too much and that everything is just a re-color or re-skin of something else? It's because they have to model that piece of gear for every race/gender combo in the game. If you add more races/genders, then you also add to the time it takes to create new gear models. You may have missed it, but in one of the live letters, they already stated that making a set of gear takes ~6 months.

Assuming that Hyurs are the only two races whose varying types require different models (midlander/highlander), the dev team already has to make 9 models per piece of gear, and that'll be increasing to 12 soon with the new genders being added.
