Maybe you found the soft cap for STR without increasing PIEI don't think strength is doing much on LNC anymore. I just bumped mine up 40 points and my:
Auto-Attack did not increase at all.
Doom Spike peek Crit went up 20 points
and that is it.
Raising my Str beyond 250 did nothing for my LNC i think we need to start looking into Piety Bonuses.
mmmmm PIE
Parse results?I don't think strength is doing much on LNC anymore. I just bumped mine up 40 points and my:

Don't have, would have been unreliable anyway. Was constantly changing my Combat Styles to try and get win.
Average AA hit was 14-16 before and after
Average Doom Spike was 500-510 before 520-530 after.
This was done with 0 Materia in standard Cobalt Armour (Red) and Felt Pants with Heart Guisarme
Points were added by 3 Garnet Rings and Point allotment.
Weapon: Ifrit's Harpoon (Better than Mogfork right?) - Use Ifrit's Harpoon for groups & Mogfork for solo, Mogfork with the +Accuracy and HP Regen are perfect for soloing content. Accuracy is a non-issue for group content, and Ifrit's has better base damage + fire damage.
Sub-Weapon: Iron Azagai - I've never even used this slot, ever.
Head: Sipahi Turban - Usually your best bet, but if you find your accuracy still hurting for solo stuff rock a Lone Knight Helm or Silver Tricorne for the +DEX. Although I'm not sure of the DEX:Accuracy ratio.
Neck: Dated Mythril Choker - I keep this slot empty in favour of three +STR rings, +PTY is also an option.
Body: Tortoiseshell Scale Mail (White) w/ Savage Might I'm still more inclined to go with the Cobalt Hauby, but in your case since you want something unique you could always rock a different Haubey, like Templar's or Vintage. Solid Scale Mail from Darkhold also looks very pretty.
Hands: Cobalt Vambraces (Red) w/ Heaven's Fist - Vambraces, Cobalt Mitts, Felt Bracers, there are actually a lot of optinos here if you meld 2+ materia, it's flavour really.
Fingers: Dated Garnet Ring x2 - Basically I'd take off the neck and throw another ring on, IMO. Who knows what will happen when they remove slot cost & give GSM some new jewelry.
Belt: Serpent Sergeant's Belt (too gimped by not having -enmity?) - Raptorskin Satchel Belt is another option if you want something you can meld materia to, I think the belt you can add +HP? Don't remember, I always rock Penance.
Legs: Felt Gaskins (Red) w/ Swordsman's Cry - Felt Red Trousers, never broken away from them so unsure what pants may be beneficial here.
Feet: Mercenary's Leggings - Several options here as well but I've just stuck with the Sollerets due to +STR.
Raging Strike is exclusive, and I don't really see a use for Sanguine Rite as LNC? Very situational.
As far as Accuracy is concerned, it's useless in group settings. With the "full party" buff you'll be at roughly 98-99% accuracy. However in solo situations you will notice a slight increase in missed abilities, more frequently with Auto-Attack. This is why I think we have the moogle weapons, for soloing. If you find yourself having issues solo you may want some + Accuracy stuff for those kinda situations.
And for Crit builds, does anyone have any good parse to show +Crit Rate is really doing anything overall? I've parsed Sipahi Gloves + Melded Gloves and the melded gloves always produce better DPS.

No wonder then lol, I never solo.
OK, I put this gear set together prioritizing Attack Power over Strength. I guess not such a good idea lol. Shame because I like the way it looks...
Not necessarily, it just depends on how you shuffle your stats. 2:3 - STR:Att, so it's possible with multiple materia melds to create efficient gear while keeping some pieces for aesthetics. The game really is still pretty customizable when it comes to gear, but materia plays a pretty decent role in that, and sometimes there's just better options. What I would do in your case, is keep your normal run-of-the-mill go to gear for your events, and keep another set for aesthetics so you can look how you want?
Attack power is likely to have a Much Higher soft Cap than STR.
If your gonna assign stats to STR, attack power is going to be the way to go.
