LNC Build

Basically looking for some helpful advice here. I'm trying to make unique gear sets for all my classes, and I'm starting with my LNC because it is my main.

This is what I've come up with. I know its not the VERY BEST in terms of gear, but like I said before I want to have each class have a unique look. I figured the Hauby set would work better on MRD and I'm a bit tired of looking at my character and having it be identical to everyone else anyway.

So take a look at my gear, I basically was wondering if it was too gimped or if it would work fine, especially since there is a bit of a lack of materia:

Weapon: Ifrit's Harpoon (Better than Mogfork right?)
Sub-Weapon: Iron Azagai
Head: Sipahi Turban
Neck: Dated Mythril Choker
Body: Tortoiseshell Scale Mail (White) w/ Savage Might
Hands: Cobalt Vambraces (Red) w/ Heaven's Fist
Fingers: Dated Garnet Ring x2
Undershirt: Hempen Kurta (Grey)
Underwear: Linen Bottom (Brown)
Belt: Serpent Sergeant's Belt (too gimped by not having -enmity?)
Legs: Felt Gaskins (Red) w/ Swordsman's Cry
Feet: Mercenary's Leggings



Also wondering if any other LNCs have suggestions on my 10 cross-class abilities. I have a couple on there that I barely ever use (Featherfoot, Hawk's Eye) and I'm curious if there is something better I should have.

Just speaking of Stats.. if you want to look different just use different Colors?

Isn't the current LNC built to string critical hits, and hasn't it received a nerf to accuracy - at least with numerous weaponskills? I would think the Mogfork would be the way to go.

Also, why Mythril Choker instead of a 3rd Garnet Ring?
7 STR > 4 Atk Power.

I appreciate the thought, but with the exception of the Paragon's Crown that's exactly what I'm wearing now. I realize its the best stats wise but that's what everyone wears. I want to try something different without hopefully being TOO gimped, and that's basically what I'm trying to ask.

Tortoisehsell mail is also filled with Piety, which does in fact affect lancers.

I agree the crit rate on the mogfork is tempting, but accuracy is still pretty useless. I've never even been able to activate my reaction abilities because I never miss. I think overall the Att power on the Ifrit weapon still trumps it, but I could be wrong.

As for the jewelry, I just like being even, having two rings on one hand, and one on the other kind of irritates me. And I always thought that Attack Power was more important than Strength. I'm wrong?

It's been proven for LNC that 2 STR gives the same boost as 3 Attack Power. Things changed with 1.19. So 7 STR is equivalent to more than 10 Attack Power.

I don't think strength is doing much on LNC anymore. I just bumped mine up 40 points and my:

Auto-Attack did not increase at all.

Doom Spike peek Crit went up 20 points

and that is it.

Raising my Str beyond 250 did nothing for my LNC i think we need to start looking into Piety Bonuses.
