I think my understanding is the last day you logged in-game + 30 days. So if someone is doing this trial period up to Jan 5, they can still post.

I think if negative opinions didn't have personal attacks in it, they would not be accused as often for trolling.

The former is an opinion, sure it might provoke a response. The latter is virtually guaranteed to provoke an emotional response.
