French player looking for a friendly FC

To those who just surround post's name on post's list and that don't really care about me, come have a look, post was with a lot of fun, spent several hours of boredom trying to write it to make readers smile. At least I hope it worked for some of you.

Red part can be read with voice and accent from the intro of show Law and Order: Special Victims Unit's intro for those who know it, it turns that low catchy phrase into some overpowered-badass phrase. But if you don't, who cares, seriously. In that case, you should add some fun and some colors in you're sad grey life, friend's advice. (Or future-person-you-hate-the-most's advice, it depends how you take jokes, which are all full of love and rainbow unicorns, btw <3)

This post will be kind of long as I want to introduce my exact way of playing and share some of my thoughts of the way I see the game now. Post ended in a different way than what I firstly thought. It was meant to be 4 lines of non-feeling-which-is-in-fact-too-conformist-for-my-actual-non-conformist-mind speech, true story. Sorry for that. I added colors for that last useless part, there's a myth demonstrated by studies showing that ppl are more focused when dealing with a lot of colors... like that, or that... or even that, but last one is damn ugly to be honest.

If you're lost, don't worry, I'm also getting headaches writting a damn useless speech which is gonna stay unread by most of you because you're all too greedy to read more than 3 lines of non-sense trash talk which took me quite lot of time to think of (second degree humour for those who can't get it and are willing to kick my butt right now). Ok I don't care (and I send you all lot of love from France <3) but I am not willing to fall asleep now, but nonetheless, it's hard to embellish a simple "I am looking for a friendly FC" with all of that.

For those who care, even I probably lost most of people who gave my speech a little try, I worked it out as a storyteller ending with a mushy moral which I think should appear on every children books because of its utopian and its mushy-teenagers-love-story-movie-ending content. In fact, I don't care for now as my imagination, tiredness and boredom are overflowing my usual cartesian mind (which I truly have, I beg you to believe me, even there's nothing cartesian at all in this post). I will probably wonder what the heck went wrong with me when I logged into forum this night, but ANYWAY:

Back to real speech, I don't know if it's allowed to write several posts in a row as it's only 1000 chars max and at the time of writing, my inspiration was at its maximum. I didn't see anything against it in the rules, but if I missed it, just delete the post.

I'm a french player who started in the middle of ARR, now playing all classes smoothly enough to enjoy the game like I want it (smoothly means that I'm very flexible in most situations and that I have joy playing with all of them, not that I master the max potency from each of them). In fact I've not been in hardcore contents a lot as it requires static groups or player knowing strat 100%. So you have to understand that FC looking for hardcore players can pass their way, I won't be from any help there!

Most known jobs are, from higher to lower: DRG, WHM, AST, SCH and WAR. I just started enjoying healer jobs with SB, I still have things to learn with SCH and AST which sometimes give me hard times when team taking too much damages, but WHM goes fluently in any doable situations as long as tank knows how to use its cooldowns and as long as DPSes avoid AOEs, which tbh, is something that doesn't happen very often lately. Finaly, I lately understood MP handling on each healing class, leading to almost no problem of lack of MP if team works well.

WAR was known perfectly on HW, SB giving me hard times, and I lost my skills on doing fast exp runs on dungeons, always losing aggro somehow while running from a pack of mobs to another. But CDs and skills are perfectly known, tanking extreme trials on HW, trials on SB or raids are unknown for me as I've never found a team to carry me there: healer or tank's first time always gave me hard times to reach high level contents, people want classes that know what they have to do, without letting new ones try it because dying is now something that people wanna avoid when doing high-level content in order to improve farming speed. [Angry moment ON] It's anyway all about farming now, no more challenges by trying to do contents with new players :P [Angry moment OFF] That would have been easier with a static, but I kinda play when I have free times, which actualy, isn't known in advance, I don't wanna block a time for playing, I only wanna play when I feel like to. That's why I've nerver felt like finding static group for hard trials or raids, even though I would love to success in them. There's a lot of contents that I even have never walked into, sad story...

What to say about DRG... first class. Before SB, it gave me hard times dying when dungeons were new for me, but knowing them allowed me to max out its DPS and to be my most's DPSing class. I now handle new content easier and I'm able to max DPS whatever bosses' strat are known or not. Deaths are still part or my carpet-DRG tho, even that I don't die more than a lot of DPSes on new dungeons and trials (not taking account extreme ones) as I could almost do them blind as I farmed them quite a lot so far, mostly with healers and DRG.

Other classes are played from a casual point of view, even tho I know all combos and skills of each of them, Only new skills from 60-70 are giving me a lack of DPS when it comes to use them. But I'm working on it strongly.

Actually, I only use healers as it queue very fast and I love the way to play it. There come the fact that you feel more important keeping team alive than dying like a nub as carpet-DRG. It's kind of a pride to finaly feel usefull after several years playing that game:P

6 classes are 70 (WHM, AST, SCH, WAR, DRG, SMN), others are 60+ and I'm working to get them 70. I'm not farming exp like a robot anymore like I used to get all classes 60 in HW thanks to POTD, which tu say truth, was no brain farming for me. I'm trying to understand all classes potency now, which leads sometimes to headaches trying to queue as a DPS.........

I am looking for a FC which takes it easy, no hardcore playing or hardcore skills needed. I'm just willing to have fun with new heads and I'd love to help newbies getting through the game with smile. Since the begining of my FFXIV story, I used to play alone or with FCs that took game too seriously, it kinda made my time of playing stressful and killed all my joy from logging in game. In fact, so far, solo playing is by far the part I enjoyed the most. Don't blame me, I gave FC a try two times, no good results at all... I'm gonna end up alone with a bunch of ugly cats sitting on my carpet-DRG

I then played solo, having fun playing all classes in order to enjoy it always differently and helping new players to grow in a world where, from my point of view, newbies getting less and less help from middle or high level player due to the increasing amount of contents from every updates.

Start of "Why I do help newbies each time I can" Containing also some irritation against people who don't give a f*** about helping others, they're not many from all people I met, but it still a small population that I just wanna kick asses of, just like when lalafels think they're usefull -> ASS KICKING
I know it's something necessary and against any player's will, but I kinda feel like newbies can't really enjoy the game like they should, they don't get the potency of FFXIV story nor their first class/job full power, especialy when you start game solo. First is myself, I started game wanting to reach my RL friends' level very fast, without getting all my DRG class potency before lvl50-60 dungeon when someday, a tank kicked my ass really hard for being useless. Right after that, I spent hours trying to get max potency of my class and enjoyed playing DRG even more. I know from my experience and from new players I carried, that not knowing your first class, or at least basis, can lead to argues in chat, sometimes insults or kick when the team isn't willing to help. Last cases didn't happen a lot, but I've seen it a few times. It's kinda awkward for players trying to handle their char as much as they can, from what they learnt on their own.

Morale: bloody selfish strong players, help people in need of advices/carrying, it doesn't take a lot of time. You wouldn't be where you are if some badass players didn't help you out when you were as weak as a lalafell.

Back to the tank who kicked my ass off, I'm now thanksful to him because he made me understood that playing game wasn't only getting stuffs and rushing story. Even tho I felt really really awkard on the moment. I also skipped all ARR story, which is something I regret a lot now and which is something that I've seen a lot, more than I thought, while carrying some new players...).

Since SB update and cross-world party finder, it's now even hard to create links with people, you might only see them once for a dungeon and that's all. Anyway, I want to share my little experience and my joy with friendly players. I'm not saying that I'm a good player, very far from that, but I'm tired of people getting upset when something go wrong. Just play, smile, die and do it over again if needed, even if it takes all day long to finish something.

The question is, why a french player wants a english speaking FC? Since I'm playing online games, I've mostly been with english players who, from my point of view, take games easier than french ones. Futhermore, I learnt most of my english skills by playing and having fun with english players, that's something I don't wanna get rid of and that I'm now used to. It's also a way to develop even more my english skills. Only problem is that I try to avoid any oral communication with discord or whatever, I only developped writing and oral comprehension skills... Talking is still a bit hard for me.

But the main reason is that I love typing in english, a lot more than french which I use in my everyday's life. I think I could have written a book here, talking for nothing, but I would lose the tiny amount of ppl [maybe none, I won't ever know...] that reached this paragraph.
Some of you might even want to hunt me all over Shiva to make me shut my mouth. If some of you reach that level of negativity , track me, I'll be glad to escape with my cute gold flying pony and hide myself somewhere in the sea with my sweet underestimated shining unicorn. Hint: one has messy hair and the other is mostly left alone while I'm AFK riding rainbows and spreading cuteness and happiness <3 (Mostly for those who need it like for example people who trash my speech, you're all greedy-selfish--lalafells which deserve to be rainbow unicorns' ponies slaves' slave. Slave of a slave, hope you will enjoy it, little head.

To be honest, frenchies are always complaining, that's not just a myth, trust me. And I don't like negativity at all ! :P

Sorry for the book I just wrote, most people won't read it all, but I wanted to share my exact thoughts with the community. And as I said I'm french, don't go too hard on my writing skills please :3

You can't use all your potency if you're alone, and even worse, you'll die sad with a bunch of ugly cats. Very ugly ones. I'd love to add that no little heads were injuried during the writing of this speech...yet.
If you don't know who/what little head point at, that means you didn't read all or that my english was too bad for you to understand it. Anyway, I give a hint: it's a tiny and useless character from the damn game you read that post for, and they're usually used as eating gift to calm down Primals because that's the easiest creature to catch due to its total lack of strengh and its minion size. A myth even says that, some carpet DRG known as the damn writter of that bloody damn post, has learnt some taxidermist skills in order to mount some Lala heads onto the future's FC house in order to keep away all primals' evil spirit that lightning heroes kicked asses of. And since ARR, it makes a lot of stupid primals to get rid of, trust me.

But by now, I'm not sure any FCs will wanna get that dark strange DRG. However, I can actualy offers services that no one else can afford: House's front door shining carpet with a DRG that is easily "carpet-able", will beautify your house and make it the most awesome of the whole neighbourhood at no cost. There's also some BLM which would be happy to light the charcoal on barbecues or get some very fresh iced drinks during summer. During winter, BLM will master your chimney fire like no one thanks to its chimney's university degree. Even senior woodcutters would be blown away.. It's now all up to you <3
