    In regards to the live letter BLM changes

    "Black mage
    We made a couple of adjustments which black mage players will understand.
    Also, when doing their skill rotations, there are moments where they lose all their MP, so we’re making some adjustments to the MP.
    - MP cost for Foul has been removed.
    - Recast time for Triplecast has been reduced from 90 to 60 seconds.
    - Recast time for Fire IV and Blizzard IV has been reduced from 3 to 2.8 seconds."

    Wouldn't a 0 mp foul be the same as a 240mp foul? There is still a chance to hit 0mp with the server ticks on umbra ice and unless they're suggesting we use transpose foul, this change isn't a great deal of importance at all. What would've been better would be a base mana increase of +600 or 0mp on foul and B3 transitioning from Astral fire.

    Hopefully the foul change isn't the only thing that's going to happen with the adjustments to MP.

    I think the idea here is that with 0 mp foul and assuming you save fouls for UI (which you should) you will always have something to cast when switching over to UI instead of sitting idle waiting for a mp tick.

    But you are right, it doesn't solve the mp issue at all if this is all they are doing, we'll just have to see on tuesday if there are other changes.

    Ok. Im not really sure if this will adress the problem of the 3.0 rotation being stronger, if anything the biggest problem with that was getting foul on a weird moment; But this just makes it a less worrysome problem.

    Yeah, I'm not sure the cast time changes will fix the problem of how useless blizz 4 is right now, but it will give a bit more breathing room if you ever need to cast 3 fire 4s.

    It "may" keep in mind how a .1 hard cast changes translates over with SS taken into account.

    With 0 ss its 2.85 cast time at 1700 ss - 381 = 1319ss

    1319/68 (weight) = 19.3*.01 = .193

    2.85- .19 = 2.657 cast times

    Compared to the current 2.75 cast time.

    This is about what we were around the end of HW 2.63-2.65 cast iirc
