Inquisitor
Mace/Crossbow offhand
I imagine the guild quests will be heavily based on ff7s "Turks". We got Jesse Biggs and Wedge.. so let's see Reno, Rude, Cissnei and Tseung.
Might make a mock build if I get enough likes.

Interesting.
What would be the surrounding lore / expansion concept, and how would it differentiate itself from the current 3 tanks.
Oh I do want the judge class, but lore wise it'd be a nightmare to implement.
I hate to be a Debbie-downer here, but it will never happen - because 'Judge' is actually what SE's Game Masters (GMs) are. Their unique equipment (which only GMs can gain and equip) is even literally called 'Judge gear' and cannot be gained or equipped by players.
Between that and the fact that Garlean military officers are called 'Legatus' (which essentially is the same thing as FFTAs/FFXII's Judges), I can safely say you will never see Judge as a player class I'm sorry to say.

Next tank job should be Magitek Pilot using a Magitek Armor unit to tank. Clean and simple, everything story wise already makes sense. We have access to the blue prints and several NPCs that know how to repair and build them, the Skysteel forge is able to make the same or better parts, Cid and Nero are allied giving us access to the best technological minds and Nero was even part of the Magitek army. There are a million ways to make that a good tank and a good way to introduce a AOE stun/taunt with Pulse Wave. TP heavy tank. "Shield Oath" would be the same or similar to being in a Magitek Armor and on foot they would be something closer to a MCH but highly reduced defense. Or even do something unique and allow it to queue as a DPS out of armor and tank in armor. It wouldn't be the first time a job has been hybrid with the flip of a switch, (Arcanist), and yet it works.
Unlocking this job in my opinion would require obtaining the Magitek Armor mount from the main story making it a lv50 unlock and keeps it lore consistent.

How about Barbarian, like in Diablo 2/3?
Your thinking of templars. Inquisitors are Lawbringers that are charged with duties from a higher power and most of the time it's a church.
Imo as Paladin(Holy) is the opposite Dark Knight(Dark). Inquisitor(Law) stands to be the opposite of Warrior(Defiance).
Think of them like judges, but just named different to be able to fit in the lore.
Well, even Inquisitor has previous connotations in the lore so the name might need to be different from that point as well.Your thinking of templars. Inquisitors are Lawbringers that are charged with duties from a higher power and most of the time it's a church.

I've been working on my own concept that falls within the same vein as an inquisitor/judge though one that is further removed from looking like a Paladin such as the picture you posted.
