Devs: Seals/Gil for Marks?

This is just a general question, and if you answer, I thank you!

I know that Yoshi was asking us what we would like to exchange our Guild Marks for, and from what I have seen it seems most want Gil and/or Company Seals.

Regardless...

Do you know when SE will allow us to trade in our Guild Marks for whatever he will let us trade it for?

I'd love to see Gil and Company Seals myself... but if I could only pick one I would love Company Seals! Hope you can give a rough idea of when this will come into the game.

I doubt they are gonna give away gil they want to get rid of it but i can see seals.

This is all under the assumption they are getting rid of seals, which is still only an option at this point. It is just as likely they will open back up the guild stores in the future and we can use our seals again for new items/abilities.

Seals? Seals are Grand Company and as far as I know they are not getting rid of seals seeing they were just added...

I am guessing you mean Guild Marks and just called it the wrong thing? If so, SE has already gotten rid of Guild Marks, you now get the abilities by leveling up and the abilities are now given to you at specific levels.

Yoshi already said he didn't want people with a lot of marks feeling they were (basically) getting shafted so asked people what they would like to see happen with the marks. HE was saying he was possibly going to let us trade them in for something. This was posted on the JP forums, and also there is a thread on the English forum about it.

They've already said all skills/traits for classes unlock through levels, jobs will advance through quests.

As for shards/crystals there is enough on the MW.

And what I say is... Company Seals. For each 1'000 you get 10 Seals of whichever Grand Company you're in.

Anyway... Guys, Seals are Seals, Marks are Marks. Grand Company Seals, you get those by completing missions issued by your Grand Company. Guild Marks, you obtain those by completing leves issued by your class' Guild.

Seals are Grand Company.... Guild Marks are what they took out and from what I understand there is no use for them now, which is why Yoshi is asking what we would like to trade them in for.

It seems like a nice system to do away with completely. Why not make them customized class shops that you can buy gear/weapons/items that compliment those classes with the guild marks. Also why not weave guilds into the story arch with the GC? The more content the better!
