Assuming you crit 30% of the time, Aspected Benefic is more shield value. On top of costing less and being instant cast. It's better hands down in nearly every regard. Comparing critical potencies, it's not even that far behind Adlo. It's anything but fine.
I hope its not just the exact same Miasma II before with no changes to potency or how its used.
Those changes to SCH don't solve the real problem: our shields just add 10% of tanks' max HP. They are terribly weak. Only crit Adlo is a real mitigation tool.
Meanwhile SCH mitigation is so weak compared to Noct AST, what's the point on bringing an SCH over an AST? AST has better shielding and much better buffs. Clear choice.
The choice will only be between WHM and SCH anyways due to how much AST brings to the table. That was clear to me from the beginning. And with those changes, I feel SCH gets ahead of WHM again (not that they really ever were behind), just as predicted...Those changes to SCH don't solve the real problem: our shields just add 10% of tanks' max HP. I agree, SCH is still ahead of the WHM currently. I'm glad I decided to level the AST.
And no, WHM isn't bad, it's actually quite nice. SCH is just better.

WHM and SCH can't compare. WHM is regens, party healing and high HPS. SCH is (or should be) mitigation, mostly one target.
You can compare WHM with Diurnal AST or you can compare SCH with Nocturnal AST. I don't know if WHM healing output can compete with Diurnal AST (leaving buffs aside), but what I really know is SCH mitigation and healing can't compete with Nocturnal AST (leaving buffs aside as well).

same goes for whm - ast/ast with op noc, aoe heal and dbl star is still the best setup you can go with... now even ast got a crit buff yay nothing left whats missing on their support side now. but for the changes theirselves I like what they trying to do with the shorter aether cd - sch might fill out the off healer role better... with lots of instant casts they can become important to situations were you have to react pretty fast. oh wait... asts have light speed I forgot that... meh well at least I tried to find something good in it : /Those changes to SCH don't solve the real problem: our shields just add 10% of tanks' max HP. I am pretty sure I read that you could not double up on jobs in Savage though?same goes for whm - ast/ast with op noc, aoe heal and dbl star is still the best setup you can go with... now even ast got a crit buff yay nothing left whats missing on their support side now. but for the changes theirselves I like what they trying to do with the shorter aether cd - sch might fill out the off healer role better... with lots of instant casts they can become important to situations were you have to react pretty fast. oh wait... asts have light speed I forgot that... meh well at least I tried to find something good in it : /

AST (in general) has more "oomph" per GCD than the other two healers. They lack oGCDs so their throughput suffers because of it.
WHM has higher throughput thanks to the number of oGCDs they have. They can put more HPS out in spikes but generally have less total potency than AST over a similar period of time.
