Well as someone who has done savage I would not expect for you to have that level of ignorance. Pld was out of the meta because of the meta itself not the class. You needed a nin, they didnt want to do slashing, war did. You didnt want a mnk so you needed a drk for it down, so you didn't bring pld. Pld didnt do well on magic encounters, now it does. Damage was never a problem and it was often argued in prog if it was worth it to take a pld because design veil and clemency are great for prog but it just wasnt the best choice. All that has changed pld will be mandatory fror prog and always have a place because the can do really well on any fight now and third utility is bar none the best. No good pld from 3.x ever wanted more damage, they wanted to be viable, now they are. So stop crying about it when there is no issue at all.
