Monk was the second class I ever leveled in this game. It holds a special place in my heart, even if I switched to Samurai as main. I just got my monk to 70 recently in Stormblood and I wish that positionals weren't SUCH a focus. It's fine to have a few like Dragoon and Samurai do, but it just feels like a layer of superficial complexity to me. I get that this is monk's "quirk" and it's play-style revolves around it, but I wish we could focus more on building up chakras in a way that's meaningful, similar to how Samurai builds Kenki or Ninjas build Ninjutsu.

The uses for the abilities come with time. But you are right on the one-ilm punch. Very role-of-the-dice whether it is useful. Not really something that can be easily fit into a monk's rotation
