- Bag integration. I have a 1440p screen, let me see the whole inventory at once instead of having to click on tabs.
- UI mods can even store information. Such as remember all my retainer inventory, retainer gear, market listing etc on my local hard disk and be able to answer things like "hey did I have this listed on the market" regardless of where my character is.
- Better crafting log. Recursive shopping list. Remembering all my retainer inventory from the last time I accessed my retainers so I don't have to right click each material just to check how many of each mat I have. Clicking once into a mat to go to its crafting page instead of two clicks.
- Extra pop-up hotbars for seldomly used things. Like holding down the "~" key pops up a wheel-shape hotbar for my gearsets, instead of taking up one of the only 8 hotbars.
- Proper flying combat text. Shut out other people's damage numbers. Display only my misses in bigger red font, etc.
- Separate my buff and debuff displays into two UI frames so I can place them at different places.
- Customized teleport list, pinning as many destinations as I want.
- In-game memo pad.
The possibilities are endless. UI mods are not just about combat. FFXIV is not good enough. People are just used to its much lower standard, or have never really experienced the better UI mods in other games (such as in WoW) and don't know how life can be many times better than the FFXIV UI.
Unless, of course, you think all of the above are "playing the game for you ^^" and should not be allowed, then I guess there's nothing to discuss and mods are evil.
