AST has the best MP sustain in the game by far if you fish for Ewers and Spears, so there is really no problem there. It's MP sustain is actually so good that it can solo heal AoE-heavy stuff like Delta 4.0 without running out of mana, even when the entire party is eating a ton of avoidable damage on top of it.
It CAN be good, but that hinges entirely on drawing enough Ewers and by no stretch is that guaranteed.

I don't feel comfortable DPSing on AST in situations where I'm not sure of how much avoidable damage the party is going to be taking. If it's a premade group that knows what it's doing, sure, but things can go south VERY quickly in DF if the people start standing in the bad...
