So i feel like there is a misconception about healers and dps that has existed for a long time. There is this major stress on healers to dps that causes new healers especially to fret.

As a long time healer here is my thought everyone sees it as a two way split you do or you don't dps. I believe that there is actually a third however. Dps if you can. This is the school i follow. Now what do I mean? Easy don't dps if people will die.

Trials, raids, and dungeons are completely different depending on your group. Example I got yelled at for not dpsing much in a trial just yesterday. The reason I pulled back is because people flat out couldn't keep from taking damage.

So healers my advice is just do what you are comfortable with dps if you can, but don't force it.
