Why does the game hide possible card rewards for Triple Triad matches?

Why can't we see what cards NPCs may possibly give us when we win TT? Instead we get a question mark with a tooltip that says something like "Other rewards may be available."

There's no reason to hide the cards NPCs can give you. What's the rationale? "We don't want the player to know if playing against this NPC is pointless or not!"? If that's the rationale, it's working, because I don't care enough to look it up.

Please, replace those question marks with a sprite of a TT card that reveals the card's name if we place the cursor on it. And maybe even be real with us: tell us the drop rate. Please?

Maybe for the surprise ? So people can say "hey I got that card vs that npc !" and share informations.
There is site that tell you what you can have anyway. I don't care much tbh.

Clean everything before any nerf is my goal. No matter the time needed to reach the last hp and beat it.

How many games with in-game card games (think we've said 'game' enough yet?) do you know of that tell you all of the possible rewards up front? Most of them keep it a mystery to not only leave it as a surprise, but also to pad your playtime unless the game goes out of its way to tell you when you've received everything possible.

If you care that much, like Jeycht points out there are plenty of third party fan sites that list possible NPC rewards so just use one of those.

With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.

It would definitely be a lot better if on the pre-match reward list it showed each unearned card as ? boxes, revealed the card if you already have it, and more importantly let you know exactly how many more cards you have to squeeze out of a given NPC. It's annoying to have to go park on some TT website and constantly look back at it to know whether you're done playing a given opponent or not. On top of that, all playable NPCs should get some kind of icon over their heads to let you know they can play(not just when you haven't beaten them yet) at all times. There are a lot of them and it's getting to be a bother to keep track of them all. Keep the current "haven't beaten yet" icon, then add another variant of red/normal with a clock on it to let you know the NPC only plays at certain times, one to mean "generic playable at any time", and green variants of the previous if you have all winnable cards.

Here's the point with FFXIV, it doesn't do that so you can keep farming an NPC endlessly, if you don't look up a third tier fan site you'll never know when you're done.
