When I first started ARR, I chose Dragoon as my main job because of all available jobs, it was because Red Mage and Dark Knight were not available and Dragoon was my favorite traditional FF job that was available at the time. When Heavensward came out, I changed my main to Dark Knight because it was second on my personal most wanted job list, and did not care that it had a primary tank role because it was still Dark Knight. Now we have Stormblood and Red Mage being my personal #1 most wanted job since the beginning, I change my main to it. Simplicity or complexity of it mattered not to me. The only thing that would possibly have me off the job is if they would have made it into a primary healer role.
