RDM/SAM remain safe and the salty tears continue to live another day. I am pleased by this.
I've seen this attitude all over the forums and it's really bugging me.

People have been laboring through up to four years of changes in play style and potency to jobs like BLM and SMN whereas RDM has been out for one month. Longtime devotees to the older classes have every right to make complaints and observations about their jobs and to be rightfully upset about them.

This smugness over these new jobs is just unnecessary. How can people be so devoted and attached to something they've been playing for a month that they are already kicking and screaming for it not to be nerfed? Just enjoy what you have while you have it because at some point every job is adjusted.

At this point though, no one is going to have any sympathy for SAMs and RDMs when that happens.

I've seen this attitude all over the forums as well.

Do you think RDMs are some influx of brand new players to the game? That no former BLMs/SMNs decided to play RDM and found they enjoyed it? That the new playstyle is vaguely familiar to the way BLM/SMN played in the old days? Simpler rotations that aren't anywhere near as convoluted?

Longtime devotees to BLM/SMN have every right to make observations about their jobs and to be rightfully upset about them. They have no right, however, to demand every other job be dragged down so they can compete, when the reality is that it is their jobs which need to be fixed. That's what bothers people defending RDM right now. The calls for nerfs are not made out of unbiased decisions reached by pure fact. They're made out of anger that the new caster isn't broken, that its balanced and works well for what it is; a DPS Caster.

My guess is Square agrees given the recent patch, focused on Balancing the classes, did not nerf RDM in the slightest. It fixed some bugs that some few RDMs were abusing, but the majority of RDMs aren't likely to notice the difference.
