We healers need at least some able enough DPS in our utility for Solo content, but let's put that aside for a second.
A good healer will always prioritize healing and keeping their party healthy, but when they're healthy what else can they do? Most of us don't wanna just stand there, so we'll contribute with some DPS to kill things faster.
At the same time, while keeping DPS in mind a good healer isn't going to let their party die, if someone is about to then yes it's back to healing. However if you have party members who will gladly lead themselves to suicide, it's not exactly the healer's fault.

A good healer knows when to heal and when to dps. A bad healer will normally fail in healing either because they get tunnel vision dps or simply are lazy. A healer that only heals is not a bad healer, but is really just doing the bare minimum so they're not exactly good.

Are we confusing bots on healer class for actual healers ? I've seen a bunch of healers as described in this thread during the past 2 days, but they were all acting in absolute non sensical ways with broken mouvements and suicidal tendencies. Cant shake off the feeling that bots may be a big part of why people see bad healers.

I have seen those suicide healers that are most likely bots but there are legit slackers as well, before SB i didn't care because back then you could go Rambo if you got "not so good team" but now in SB team play is kinda forced and it made this issue extremely obvious.

I dont see why the healers cant be locked into a more specific set when in PVP - i mean they pretty much did it to tanks who's skills are pretty much "hey, you are a tank, lets not forget that.. none of this massive damage you once did on WAR, you are a tank, and you'll get just enough skills to remind you of that"

I think they should make tanks harder (double their damn HP, cause being just above a dps health wise is stupid), give healers a bigger incentive to heal but reduce their damage, and make DPS more even

Eh, I heal primarily when I'm PVPing and stick to the ass of the main zerg so I can dole out heals across all the alliances. However if I see my party being stupid I'll definitely throw out some DPS, however little I'm capable of which honestly is not very much compared to tanks and dps. Healing has always been my priority, though I agree that often I feel other healers don't think similarly, meaning I'm often the only healer actually doing anything to keep people up which inevitably leads to a wipe.
