Det is pretty good this expac. Its very close to direct hit and will affect your Entire toolkit. Later in the expansion when det fails to keep up, you can switch to direct hit. Right now though, det is still behind crit but is pretty close to direct hit, which is good.

Det is roughly 1% damage and healing boost per 166.67 points.

Crit is roughly 1% change and damage boost per 108.5 points.

Direct Hit is... Complicated.

At this point, you're guessing, or doing trial and error on dummies and in ex's. Maybe find some well rated scholars on fflogs, and see what they meld?

What's complicated about direct hit?

Its a flat 25% boost every time it procs every 39 direct hit. Melding 720 direct hit would give you a DPS boost of 4.61% if it were possible. At 720 det being melded 4.31% DPS increase. Losing .3 dps so that your fairy can gain 4.31% more healing power, slightly stonger shields, which both increase mana effeciency, serms to be the better deal.
