Where's the fun in getting everything on the first try?
At this rate people are going to request ex primal mounts to be on the mog station, so they can pay to not play.

Obviously even with these changes it is not enough! I want all my classes at 70 as soon as I clear Shinryu and fully geared with all savage tier achievements! Nothing short of this will do!

I have my own policies/rules when it comes to farming mount.
    - Only farm it after drop rate got buffed 1 time.
Because people tend to have better ilv and content is still fresh.
So PF is quite active and not toxic as first week of the patch.
This is how I got firebird before they added Zurvan tokens's exchange.

If they up the droprates the mounts/rewards would get less exciting.

Things would get stale real quick.

I wish they increase the drop rate for Magitek Mount in Ala Mihgo a bit.

It should not take 99 clears of doing something to get a mount, it goes against the idea you do not need to play a lot to get things.

So is this a hardcore time sink game where you need to play every day for 8 hrs at a time or not? I am confused from the mix messages of different content

This as well I cap every week and only seen it once and it is 4.06a!

If the idea is you do not have to log in every day to do things and be causal friendly, the game should be reflecting that in practice.

Nightmare mount needs increase of drop rate big time as well

But this game is very casual friendly in most regards. While it also tries to appeal to people who'd like to play a bit more than just casually - for example with those mounts.
There is lots of casual content - not all content has to be casual though. Infact those mounts are supposed to be special - which makes them pretty much not-casual. And thats fine. You dont need them to play or enjoy the game - if you're only playing casual you're getting mounts from the mainquest, so you can easly travel everywhere. Thats all you actually need - the rest is a bonus.
Not everything has to be instantly available for everyone. You want something special? Put some effort into it.

You can even farm those mounts in your own time, this game is by no means a time sink in that regard.
Let me also do a little math for you:
The average EX-primal takes 10 minutes to clear (that doesnt account for wipes ofc, but at least our two current EX-primals are pretty easy fights that should be wipe-free... or you should be looking for a new group). That means: 6 kills an hour. So 16,5 hours for 99 kills - we can round that up to 20, if you like to account for wipes and the odd slower run. Still would only require 2.5 days of that 8-hour-play-schedulde of yours. And thats without taking into account that you could get the mount by rolling high enough on it. Seems still pretty casual friendly to me...

Those are more mid to long-term goals. Something you can work towards, thanks to the tokens now.
We really, really dont need everything in this game to be just handed out. You can be casual and enjoy this game, thats fine - but you need to be okay with not having everything instantly then.
(Seriously, you could just do like 3 runs a day - in a month you'll have your mount. Playing the game casually. All good.)

gating something behind low RNG is not "special" all it is annoying and frustrating, it shouldn't exist. It is not "hard" to run something 99 times, it is just pointless time consuming. I have better things to do with my time then running the same thing 99 times, it is why I do not do it. As a total, you are not given enough time to play the game in that regard. You are acting like that is the only thing to do with your time analysis.

As said, either make it casual friendly or none at all, what is with the mixed signals?

If you have better things to do with your time, thats your choice ofc - but that comes with certain consequenses and those are, in this case, not getting the mount.

The alternative to gating it behind RNG is gating it behind real difficult fights - and we all know how well that sits with this community...

I'm pretty pleased with the compromisse they've made here: The fights itself are casual friendly enough for everyone to clear them, but anyone who want to get something more out of it, has something more to get out of those fights.
The game doesnt has to be only casual friendly or only hardcore - the devs are trying the best to appeal to both groups. Thats why we've got two raid-difficulties now. And there is nothing wrong with that - if you only want (or can) play casual, you can do that. You just wont get everything then, because some stuff isnt made for the casual gamer and not all stuff has to be for them.
