Thread: 4.05 DPS Ranking Expectations

Lets look at the big picture. These are just my expectations. Feel free to post your own.

No one will get a nerf (yet). Classes that are low will be buffed. The on average ranking will be as follows for a fight with mechanics:

1. SAM, BLM
2. NIN, MNK
3. SMN, DRG
4. RDM, MCH
5. BRD

Notes:
BLM: best BLM might out dps best SAM. Both have low utility

SMN: they will get QOL changes and a small buff.

DRG: they need it.

RDM: mobile ranged class that can heal, raise and buff. They should be near bottom of the pack if YoshiP is true to his words.

MCH: they need it. This class is the one I'm most unsure about.

BRD: ranged, mobile class with high utility. All top parses have one.

Final note:
It may seem like RDM is getting nerfed in these rankings but it's not. All classes should be viable. If the top dps is 5k the bottom dps will be 4k. Currently it's more like 5k and 3.2k.

Ideally that would be an accurate list if not for some slight differences:

BLM - It may become the SAM of casters but due to being a caster and the nature of the job's playstyle aka being a turret with a spice of "mobility", it will never top the dmg output of any melee DPS except in some low movement required fight.

DRG - It needs to be on par with NIN and MNK, SAM is the uncontested high selfish dps. Right now there is very little reason to choose DRG over a MNK and SAM because NIN is arguably the most desired melee DPS in its current form.

Otherwise the rest should be close to what it's supposed to, then again, we never know.

Do you remember how evryone was expecting different stuff for and none of them was accurate? well.... xD dreaming is free but... xD

1. SAM, BLM
2. MNK
3. SMN, RDM, NIN, DRG
4. MCH
5. BRD

Mainly for utility reasons (SMN has awesome utility and imo should not be MNK lvl, same for NIN)

SMN will get nothing, cause square hates us.

Why does everyone want BRD to be the lowest dps class again?.. :c
