Basically, If there is a wipe from large pulls I downgrade to small ones, regardless of what the healer or others say.

As a tank, I pull as much as I feel I can realistically handle. No more, no less.
I see you dont have tried healing in past level 60 dungeons yet, OP - maybe you want to do that and see the problems a healer is facing before you decide wether or not they should be able to handle them.
I played through the mainquest on my paladin and I did some larger pulls in dungeons aswell - coming from HW-endgame where we could just masspull everything thanks to outgearing the hell out of the content.
Then I leveled scholar the last week and god, I hated those tanks thinking they can pull everything, forcing me to basically physick-spam. I healed them all through it, granted - but it isnt fun to stand somewhere for a minute, mashing your physick-button, hoping the tank wont die until you get aetherflow back and can immidiaitly spam those three lustrates to get a bit of breathing-room again.
A lot of pulls I saw are/were also plain stupid - sure, you can pull the two dogs and that ghost in siren sea (last three mobs before the last boss) together, but why the hell do it when the ghost needs some special attention.
Long story short: I felt very sorry for all the healers that had to put up with my stupid, reckless pulls - I'm a good tank, I use my CDs, I actually pay attention to wether or not we've got AoE... but playing as healer definitly gave me a better perspective of what pulls are okay and what pulls arent.
I can only advice every tank out there to try healing and base at least some decisions on that experience! Something was stressful-heal-spam for you? Chances are, it might be for someone else too.
I'm still doing large pulls if I feel a healer can handle it - I also know now what large pulls should be "expected" to heal through. But I also know what dungeons prove to be more stressfull and difficult when certain pulls are done and try to avoid those.
Have to ask, but do you get mouthy after the wipes in any way?
I've been part of runs where the tank will pull big, and then we end up wiping for one reason or another. We just run back and try again - sometimes with the same pull, other times we adjust and go small. No biggie either way. Haven't seen a tank get kicked yet (or myself as healer).
Obviously my experiences won't echo everyone else's, but curious to see what is spawning the vote kick.
this.
maybe not with a SCH, but AST/WHM is just fine
On topic: I dont know...to make me wanna kick the tank after ONE failed pull, the tank has to have been beyond horrible.
Like...literally having his HP melt in 3 seconds. I actually have come across tanks who wanted to pull big and didnt mitigate at all... OR tried to mitigate, but did it the wrong way
and it was nearly impossible to keep them alive. So either youre one of these.....OR you've just really had some bad luck.
As a person who sometimes really is a magnet for people who play poorly who then blame the wipes on me (being the healer), I kinda know how it feels.
I also had a thread saying how people suddenly want me to stop DPSing as a healer. And everyone was like "wow, never happened to me".
Well, it happened to me again the other day. But thats when I just gladly eat penalty. No use arguing with these people anyway....

I can't remember the last time I was kicked from a dungeon as a tanker.
But I always ask healer if he want big or small pulls.
Even if he asks for big pulls and he can't handle it, I change to small pulls.
If people kick me, I leave with clear mind that I do my best.
I try always do be polite and thank healers for the job well done (and DPS too, if they don't take damage, less healing).
1. Levelling dungeons are generally a no no when it comes to large pulls.
2. How do you not know this with two tanks already at 70?
3. Are you one of those bad's mumma told ma about?
I think I have a higher tolerance for bad players. lol. I'll put up with most everything except for a really horrible attitude. If they're spewing insults and trash talking the group, that's what will do it for me.
As a fellow tank -- I find this can all be avoided by asking "big pulls or should I take it slow?" at the beginning and adjust as needed.
