Another patch for worthless PGL

pgl is not useless you need to try something different cuz you doing it wrong. i love pgl i have no problems soloing since launch day i still use it. you probly have all att & str to solo, you need evasion and you'll barly get hit and if you haymaker mobs they go down fast for 250tp or combo--pounce(behind), concussive blow(side), howling fist(side) and yes you can do it solo the mobs dont turn around asap.

since 1.20 i can hits as hard as a mrd & lnc with stone or flame fist depending on the mob and i get tp faster. if you want that one big hit every WS go lancer and doom spike everything.

So true to this! I play PGL over ARC for several GC leve runs simply because I have a high evasion rate towards enemies. Having +22 evasion on my footwear definitely helps in that department too. A mob will attack me, I'll dodge and counter with Haymaker. Once they're stunned I'll either pound away or if I have the TP, circle around and follow up with a Pounce from behind, Demolish, and finish the combo with Howling Fist. Personally for me Pugilist has become far more fun to use, almost as fun as Archer. It's all about combos when the time is right, countering with Haymaker when you have the chance. However, I've personally found the Fists of Earth and Fire buffs damn near worthless. I never use them unless I'm in a pinch. Fighting several enemies and need to survive? Throw Fists of Earth up and combo as much as I can until they're dead.

If I'm trying to speed through an enemy I'll throw on Fists of Fire and again, use as many combos as I can. Of course at times you'll find where enemies will have a resistance to those attacks so it's actually better to go without the elemental effect. In short, using Fists of Earth might even be viable if you need to do emergency tanking. Of course, it also requires you have decent defense equipment too.
