If people feel like content and races aren't of the quality they deem suitable for their own standards then that has less to do with "being childish" and more along the lines of consumerism. This is all under the assumption that resource allocation on SE's part is heavily limited (Which we all know it is)- meaning that when the only stuff being released is stuff that isn't up to snuff in someones opinion, I feel like it's a perfectly valid reason to complain without the "childish" card coming out.
