Relic weapons for Stormblood?

Well, you'll do it, like I'll do it for better stat, when it's available. But for now I'm force to use what SE gives me. But when it will be, it's way to late to be meaningful and see a real difference in raid. And it will be outdated for the next tier like always.

Edit: the only moment the relic is "useful" is at the end of the expansion, if you want to do speedkill for the extra dps. Before that, it's worthless.

Worthless is harsh. The raid weapon was usually better but for people who didn't raid the most current relic was just dandy for everything else. I solid #2 when it comes to gear is plenty useful in a team-based game.

I have used a relic for glamour since 3.5 . If they make it shiny enough I'll use them forever.

Indeed I wont denied that, for shiny and for people who don't raid it's a good weap.
My post was to answer the guy before me (in page 6) telling that the i275 was trash (it was, but only months after the release).

Thing is Relic mostly becomes useful in the final stages which at that point may as well say it is just for glam.
Does not help that SE have delayed it for Stormblood. Even people that "raid" are bored with Stormblood it would seem so Relic would have at least been something

I’m actually enjoying the lack of relic weapon thus far; its more motivation to do Shinryu EX at this point (or Savage if you’re willing to go that far). Course I did just finish the last of the anima weapons and I have all the Zetas I care to farm at this point (the book phase burns me out).

That is why I don't have anything other than my DRG relic past that phase. Mind you...I still need to finish that one of these days...

The reason why it's so delayed is because Relic armor and Relic weapons are coming on in SB, it'll be a grind but it won't be like the previous incarnations (so we are hoping and thinking) as it would just be too much to grind a full set of relic armor and a weapon in the way that was ARR/HW.

Nah ‘m not given to wearing junk ass gear just because it has a pretty ilvl number, skillspeed is worthless to me so I won’t equip any gear with it on justto fudge my ilvl

Between a i260 weap and a i275, it was not only for ilvl, the i275 was way better stat wise.
