Can you please explain that 'argument' a bit further? Since Relic-Quests never really added new content, but rather made you the run the existing content over and over again I think it is rather invalid. :/

Furthermore, I think Chalbee is right saying there is a lot of stuff that can be done already, if you don't want/like it, fair enough, but give others a chance to have time to do everything without being rushed too much, please.

Relic quests aren't new content but considering the drought we're having (for the second time and at the same patch time if I may add), having some time waste such as a relic couldn't hurt. I don't like relics but right now I'd probably do them since I don't have much to do beside the usual roulette for tomes and doing Moogle dailies for leveling my crafters (because I'm not too fussed about leveling them, but dailies only take 30 minutes so it's okay). I'm not touching extreme with a stick since they're a cesspool of toxicity. Same for raiding.

Also, I already DONE that content: I already did hunts in 2.3 (upgraded my entire 120 armor back then), I already did aquapolis in HW (gained 10 millions thanks to it), I already did dailies (I have max rank in every old tribes) and I certainly already levelled my jobs ages ago, spending countless hours in N.Thanalan and then spamming Vault and Library in HW. For a new player this might be all new but not all of us are new.

Can't we have something that is actually new and fresh or is that too much to ask?

Aren't Chimera and Hydra trials unlocked exclusively through first relic quest?

4.15 is too late. the relic quest is cheap content wich can fill the gap between 4.0 and 4.1. didn't heavensward lost half the playerbase during the same time? we need something to do between the raids in the next 4 months

Sort of... that was because it was a 5 month gap between 3.0 and 3.1 which is nearly twice as long as the standard wait between patches.

Patch 4.15 is what Yoshi-P said they were aiming for.

I wonder why not sooner. You know it's gonna be a rehash of ARR and HW all over again, i.e. the new version of Atma, exorbitant crafted pieces and a whole crap load of Verity farming.

Yoshi hinted several times they may add relic armor sets to relic weapons. I'm speculating here, but I suppose it'll will be dyeble versions of AF3 armor (which were dyeble in press previews but not in 4.0). So maybe they need more time to prepare new questlines and cutscenes. Also they need to give more lifetime ro 24-man raid because relic armor will likely has customizable stats and higher ilevel.
