i am going to just predict the responce, 'server limitations' or 'adding in a new slot into the charecter's armoury would increase the strain that the servers have to have, but hey heres some hats with glasses fixed onto them' just my guesses.

tho i would love this. i love my fox ears but i love glassess as well

They'd have to go through and edit each item that could be a "face" item to make it equippable to the face slot, and probably go through every head item to have a flag for if your face item is shown or not, like if you equip a helmet that would clip horribly with glasses the game would have to know to hide it.

Eyebrows? What are those? Are they tasty?

I wouldn't mind two or three extra accessory slots that take care of things like glasses, hair pins, masks, veils, cloaks, wings, shadows, a haunting ghost etc. We often joke about how anime characters only differ by hairstyle, color and other accessories. But this also mean that having just a few more customization options on the face would do a lot to differentiate player characters.

I'd say all they need is another "face" slot with a manual toggle to show or hide it. The player can manage the display of each face item depending on their helm item. Basically just adds a slot to each gear set.
