Fair enough.While that is indeed true and completely valid, it depends on how much you are feeling out a given fight. If your static is on Savage, for instance, and you want to learn the fight, the extra mitigation from Shield Oath is welcome. As such, HS then becomes a tool to increase the gauge at a decent rate. Sure, you do less damage, but at least you don't end up a stain on the floor before you learn the fight.
After you learn the fight and know that you no longer need ShO? Go ahead and use SwO and don't use HS in ShO.
