It is to an extent, but having to put off a dungeon run with your friends until you go do one on whatever you want to level is a lot more disruptive than taking 45 seconds to knock out craft #30 and in practice would likely require the player to at least some of the time decide to sacrifice the challenge log XP. The difference here is less about who is at fault for losing the XP and more the degree of disruption not losing the XP may reasonably entail.

You're missing the point, which is that for all intents and purposes you can already basically gift the XP to a crafting class without doing any actual work on it. Your post sounds like you're disagreeing with me, but you really just doubled down on the point I was making.
