That's only because you're equating "actual work" with meaning high level work, even though that's not what the challenge is. This particular one happens to be a pretty easy challenge, so yes, the final step is easy too.

If you'd want Craft Up a Storm to be "Craft 30 level appropriate items" rather than just "Craft 30 Items" that could perhaps fix your concern over whether what you're doing qualifies as actual work or not. But that would be a different request than the one this thread is about.

Your basis for deciding that that concern was without merit was: "The difference between that and crafting literally nothing with that class is negligible."

In that assessment of crafting a simple item as being virtually the same as "crafting literally nothing", what you're really saying is that the entire challenge is really nothing, because that IS the challenge. The whole challenge is just to craft stuff, even if it's simple level 1 stuff. This disdain for simple challenges sounded a lot like concern over the challenge being too simple. After all, if you think the final step is too negligible to care about, do you care any more about the rest of steps?

I never made a statement, implicit or otherwise, as to the appropriateness of the difficulty of the challenge. I merely provided an assessment of the current state compared to the state the suggestion would bring about if implemented as it related to the concern of the person I was responding to.
