Client Crashes upon starting (right after i click the shortcut)

Details: After clicking the ffxiv shortcut, the game begins to load and crashes short after
    Steps:
    1. Click ffxiv shortcut
    2. Game starts to boot up
    3. Crashes
    Date & Time: 12/19/2011
    Frequency: Always
PC Manufacturer & Model Number: Acer, Aspire M3400
    OS: windows 7 premium
Graphics Card: Ati Radeon HD 4250
    ISP: comcast
Type of Internet Connection: cable (connected through wirless router)

Detailed description and what i've done to try and fix it.

My problem is shortly after i click the ffxiv shortcut to start the game it crashes.
    Says "FFXIV has stopped working"

Tried trouble shooting it with windows.
    Tried reinstalling (3 times)
Tried updating my graphics drivers. (fully updated)
    restarted about 5 times.
Tried turning to the lowest settings.
Updated everything that i could (windows, graphics, router, etc.)

I notice when i go to look at the display in the config setting of ffxiv, it only comes up as "\\.\display1" and its different on my laptop

Im beginning to think that my graphics card down right cant run the game.

    Some system specs:
Card name: ATI Radeon HD 4250 Graphics
    Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc.
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 215 Processor (2 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
    Memory: 4096MB RAM

If its the case of my graphics is more trashy than i think it is.
What are some suggestions for graphics cards? around the $150-200 range? (power supply isnt a problem i will buy what ever is needed for the card)

Another thing: I can run the game fine on my laptop on lowest settings only. (didnt plan to play on my laptop, but i guess that will be the case till i find a solution.) If the specs from my laptop are needed please say so and i will put them up.

It seems others with the an ATI radeon graphics card has this same problem.

    I fixed my problem.

For future people who have this problem, which usually are people who run ATI RADEON graphic cards.

    1. Download driver sweeper
    2. Download the ATI lastest drivers from AMD(DOWNLOAD DO NOT INSTALL)
    3. Uninstall your current ati drivers
(through control panel ---> Amd(ATI) Catalyst control)
4.Restart your pc, boot in safe mode.
    5. Run driver sweeper, check the ATI drivers box, analyze and clean.
    6.Restart your pc normally
7.Install the ATI drivers you recently downloaded
    8. Restart again.

You should be good to go.
