Not all of us have low attention spans like people who have certain mental conditions have.

I, for one, am a relatively healthy and normal person who doesn't fall asleep if I'm idle for more than 0.5 seconds.

And I say this, as being a person who has sleep apnea who is prone to daytime drowsiness, enough that I have almost wrecked my car a couple times due to drowsiness while on the road.

Most times, I DPS as a healer. But there are some dungeons, or days where I simply cannot be bothered. Like the day I got Tam Tara, and got kicked because I didn't DPS. Which was fine with me, since I got Ifrit Normal mode after instantly, got a Cluster and was out before they even reached the first boss.

I deal with baby tanks and DPS nonstop as a healer anyways during all other content, you throwing your toy out of the pram and refusing to tank will only make the run last longer. That's fine with me.

Oh ffs It's a dungeon calm down. It's not like Lakshmi EX where you gotta bring the deeps or any Savage content. It's a flippin dungeon. Calm down.

This is the mentality I don't understand. "The content is easier so it's okay to perform poorly." You'd think people would do better in easier content than harder content.

    I don't think that's what she meant.

Dungeons are easy yes. And because of that reason, you don't have to be at 100% of your capacity to beat it.
Sometimes, when you play the game, you just want to relax, but still want to do some content. So dungeon match this feeling.
This is the perfect place for any kind of class to learn also. You have a wide mistake window allowed in there.

I personally myself always try to be as performant as I could, yes.
But I totally understand that some people, for some reason in some condition don't want to.And since dungeons aren't hard, as long as people does their primary job and the few mecanics, it's okay.

For speedruns xp or farm, you have PF where you can say what you are expecting from people who are joining. In df, you can't, so you adapt.
    No stress.

And before you accuse me of pinpointing that part without the context that follows it, let's consider the two cases where the tank or DPS takes unexpected damage while you're DPSing:

1.) The attack does more than their max HP and one shots them. They're dead whether you're DPSing or spam healing them so it's a moot point.
2.) They survive the attack. You could be in the middle of casting a DPS spell and still be able to cancel the cast and utilize your choice of instant cast heal to get them back up.

Things hit harder now... period... healers have to focus on healing and not DPSing because tanks don't want to adapt to the new meta, which is : do YOUR job... if you're not killing things fast enough it's not a healers fault (unless they let people die thus slowing DPS). Tank sets the pace but they are the ones who need to adapt to their group...

And as a side note I had a member of a FC I was in who was a 73yr old female player.... so a 60 yr old isn't far fetched at all...
