They shouldn't be insulted by a tank because of it. The toxicity of tanks is growing and its a damn shame. It's why I picked it up. I will be the one person to not yell at you or be petty over slow dungeons, low dps from healers, etc...even when i heal, if you want to tank slow? all the more power too you. DO IT. being petty over it is just a waste of time and effort. No you're not helping. You were a noob once too. help people. don't make the game become a toxic cesspool.Your healer could STILL be getting used to how things play. Your healer could be one of those healers who cant really identify the seconds where its ok to take their mouse or cursor or whatever off of you so they can dps. Because they know that if the party wipes because enough healing wasn't going out, 85% of the time, someone from your party WILL chew them out. Your healer could be a 60 year old with arthritis or some shit. Think of factors as to why your healer is playing the way they do. You do your job and let them do theirs.
"Within each of us, the potential for great power waits to be released."
Then when your party dies, it will be your fault for being petty.

Honestly I rarely DPS the first time through content outside of reapplying my dots from time to time. This is especially true of raiding content where I get easily overwhelmed by all the new things coming at me and need a good moment or two to focus not just on healing but also learning the first. Once I've learned the fight though it's pretty much smooth sailing from then on out and I'll DPS as much as I can get away with. Still so long as the healer is keeping you alive I don't really think it's fair to judge them outside of high end content. A little extra healer DPS will help, yes, but if the player isn't comfortable then that potential for a wipe will make the run go all that much slower.

You say that'd be a solution to something, but that's something you do anyway!
That aside: There is no solution to lazy. There is no solution to bad. And the one or two people that actually have a medical disability can simply step up from the start and warn the group that they're not fully functional. People tend to be a lot more understanding if they know you're playing with your feet out of necessity rather than for the lulz.
It is sad to see how toxic the attitude of the community can get. Tanks are meant to get spanked - and Healers are meant to keep you alive. You want me to DPS during your pull? Cool, then I suggest not pulling so many mobs that I can barely keep you alive, Especially with the new content I will not right-out DPSing with the other 2 DPS. I will throw in my Aero's, and see how quickly you lose your health, and whatever attacks will or may happen that will drop people's health quickly so I have to react right away. If the group mobs pulled aren't going down as fast, may as well pull less, as some of the DPS often can't handle as many or do not know how to. Do not blame a Class that isn't even meant for DPSing for doing their job. Will do what I can to "DPS" with you, but my mainconcern should, and always will be, the health of the whole party. And if I feel there is not enough time to throw in a Holy, then I won't. This may change once everyone got their higher Gear and I feel more comfortable with the Dungeons, but again... Geez. It is so sad to see people go at each others throats lately. It is Healers who will get blamed for too big pulls and maybe someone ending up dead when our MP will be drained, we will get blamed if an DPS ran into every AoE they could find and we couldn't throw heals quickly enough even though you've been giving your best, and you'll blame us now for "not DPSing". Wearing STR Gear won't change any of your DPS. And it will not buy us 15 mins to get quicker out of a dungeon.

I recall a run of Omega v3. Party was topped off, regens up, Shield was up. Aoe went out, party got topped up and fey union was put on the tank. Tank was topped for the entire duration of it from 100 gauge and the co-healer just stood around doing nothing. Im all for keeping parties alive but there comes a time where people really should just use their abilities.
On a side note, this game as a whole, as I have experienced is never happy with healers unless it is a premade. People hate healers, you dps and get yelled at and you dont so you get yelled at, you get yelled at for 80% hp on tanks, you get yelled at for not letting regen do its job and be a over time heal or you get yelled at for letting regens heal over time. If the shoe fits, you suck and you need to stop. This even seems to follow through on development with a clear bias in some cases or at least a lack of understanding. From ARR to SB

I agree that this shouldn't be a thing - then again, I have not yet fought this battle, so it may have just been that the Co-Healer was just on his / her toes seeing if they were needed or regaining some MP while they could - if it was just lazy standing around, well this should not be a thing. Sometimes the AoE will keep you busy enough to not cast much though.
And I also agree on the later half of your post - it really is like that. You can be a good healer and there will still be someone finding flaws or calling you out or just wanting to make you feel bad because they have a bad day or think they can do everything better than everyone else. But it should -NOT- be like that in a game we all try to enjoy.

It's pretty clear the community overall just loves to hate on healers. I dont see tanks or DPS get nearly as many kup nuts thrown at them.I agree that this shouldn't be a thing - then again, I have not yet fought this battle, so it may have just been that the Co-Healer was just on his / her toes seeing if they were needed or regaining some MP while they could - if it was just lazy standing around, well this should not be a thing. I have never seen anyone defend a tank who goes afk after establishing a sufficient aggro lead. I have never seen anyone defend a dps who only auto attacks. I have seen several people defend healers who stand around doing absolutely nothing when they don't need to heal.
