    Holy Spirit question

When should I be using Holy Spirit? I usually save up my mana for Requiescat and spam it, then use it sparingly when I have to be at a range. I've also used it to prep for tank busters and I don't have Shelltron up. Is this the correct usage of it, or should I be using it more/less? I don't save my mana exclusively for Holy Spirit either; if I notice my healer is a little lax on heals, I'll use Clemency to bump my HP to a safe level.

As MT, Holy Spirits can be used anytime to quickly generate Oath Gauge and dish out some good damage at the same time. And what you explained does exactly just that; to get that 50 threshold for Sheltron. and I'd say keep up the good work! Just don't forget to use Requisecat whenever your MP's high. Don't even mind the buff, it only complicates things imo.

As OT, Holy Spirits is part of Magical DPS rotation that is best used after Fight or Flight has been used up. Apply Goring Blade first, then Requisecat with a buff, and fire away a barrage of Holy Spirits to deal some decent damage! Clemency is still your priority to save people's lives though, so in my personal opinion, i'd say it's best to be conservative, casting a maximum of 3-4 times to be safe.

I think the only downside to holy spirit is how bad it's animation is. It should feel a lot more impactful.

the 5 HS in the requiescat buff is tricky to do, Requiescat is a ogcd but if you use it before the last gcd is offcd, the 5th HS will be out of the buff at the end. Usually as mt I do 4 at max, and as ot try to do 5 if no movement is required.

As off tank; FoF, Fast Blade, Goring, Req, Holy Spirit spam (all whilst mixing OGCDS in), then the same again with Royal Auth instead of Req and Holy until MP returns.
As Main tank it's pretty much the same, but use it more thoughtfully to help fill my Oath gauge for upcoming busters like Stormsplitter and Pull of Light.

i personally find its better to do this as OT, weaving in oGCDs when needed like COS:
    FoF ON
    Goring blade combo
    RA combo
Goring blade combo (you do it again to make sure it doesnt fall off during HS spam)
    FoF Fades
    Requiescat
    Holy spirit spam
    Back to Goring/RA when OOM.

Doing it this way basically guarantees the most overall fight DPS but slightly less burst at the start. it means more overall dps due to using FoF earlier and thus it being off cooldown shortly after HS spam is done, and thus you'll use it more often through a fight than you would by starting with Requiescat and HS spam.
Its done this way because FoF does NOT affect HS damage as FoF is only Physical damage and not magical.

Well don't ever use it in shield oath that's your number 1 rule the second one is never use it outside of requiescats window unless it's seriously the only damage you can get for something like in Susan when you get the lightning and are separated from the boss for a gcd. If your pulling then shield lob roh swap to sword put up goring then get requiescat on the back end of the gcd and throw 5 then come back around and pop fof before your goring. If your. Not pulling put up goring then requiescat and go ham.
