If they put a mana cost on stance swap, it should only be fair that they make it oGCD as well just like warrior. We lose 250+ potency to swap stances while warrior doesn't lose anything unless they swap with a full IB.
"Thrill of Battle (Ability, Instant): Increases Maximum HP by 20% and restores the amount increased. Recast 120s, Duration 20s." The self-healing effect is not temporary, otherwise the WAR would die if not healed above the temporary HP threshold before the effect expired (kind of how Last Stand worked, in another game). But perhaps that's how the ability should work. Engaging indeed.
Also, if you weren't aware that Storm's Path heals, then you probably won't miss it if it were gone. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. Removing self-heals from tanks when not in tank stance was supposed to hurt the other tanks more than it hurt WAR, after all, because WAR was at such a disadvantage in this regard. So there are no major losses here.
It's kind of surprising how much misinformation is floating around out there about how these actions actually work. Perhaps the solution is not to buff the job, but buff our knowledge?

I think he's completely oblivious to the fact that the adjustments to WAR were not only appropriate, but long overdue and is complaining about anything and everything without any knowledge about the skills he's complaining about in the hopes that somehow SE is as ignorant as he is and will buff WAR to be overpowered as hell again.No you wouldn't.

From a purely mathematical perspective, both the tank stance penalty and the stance-dance penalties are better balanced right now than at any point in the past. The only thing WAR needs is some kind of TBN/Intervention equivalent to use as OT. Otherwise they're more than fine since they still have the most flexible stance changes.

Honestly I think instead of penalizing to try and keep you in it maybe they should do the opposite - buff it.
How about instead of 20% damage for 20% mitigation it's 5-10% less damage for still 20% mitigation? Lets see if people still trade off the extra mitigation if they are only gaining a small amount of damage.
Also transfer the aggro generated from abilities into the stance a bit more. Try keeping aggro generation in tank stance about the same as it is, while aggro in DPS stance is nerfed(again I guess).
See if people just stay in it then.
