Please never change Bard (feedback)

Stormbloods iteration of BRD is by far the best thing Square-Enix have done for this Job, it feels like a polished version of A Realm Reborn's BRD with some great abilities taken from Heavensward without the casting nonsense.

I no longer feel like a glorified mage. I really hope they don't decide to "revamp" again and destroy what they have created here.

I love being able to focus purely on DPS but also give players mana/tp on the fly without punishing my damage, I also love being able to drop 20% healing increase on tanks for 15 seconds, even though nobody seems to notice it

I agree. While many jobs got smashed by SE's "revamp" Bard actually was one of the few real winners.

Great new design and ideas. The ability names may need some work. Mage's Ballad makes no sense for what it actually does now.

This is my only gripe with Bard, otherwise Bard seems pretty awesome now, Ive been slowly thinking of switching from Summoner to Bard. But yea hope they decide to switch the name or give it a more mage like additional ability!

I HATED bow mage so much that I stopped playing BRD in HW. And BRD was the only DPS that I actually liked before the changes. I'm extremely grateful for the SB changes and I'm back to playing BRD... so yes thank you devs.

Agreed, the new brd feels great, actively using songs, watching for procs, and managing buffs and debuffs and best of all, no more casting times.

Unfortunately they also put the entire MCH in the garbage at the same time, which makes me rather sad as it was by far my favorite job in HW.

While I'm very happy with the changes they've made to bard gameplay wise I was pretty shocked how bad, and even awefully written the quest was - at least in german it was a pain to go through it. Just finished it today and... please... stick to the gameplay but never ever give me the option to say "Yes, thats shit." (literal translation of the german version) again. It felt horribly out of placed, uncalled for and just... shitty.

(Can anyone tell me if its the same in english? I get that Guydelot is supposed to be that asshole, but the german version took it a bit to far with the stuff he said - it just seemed tasteless and very badly done)

If I remember correctly, Guydelot says "Bullshite" in English. Althought I didn't find it revolting or anything, it was fine with me ^^'

It's also not particularly uncommon, especially for Sea Wolves, who tend to be pretty vulgar in general. I still remember a sidequest where one referred to the ocean as "colder than a dead whore's crotch."
