I don't watch my CPU, but my GPU usually idles at 45C in Uldah. The snow kicked that up to around 50C... if I go stand next to the Christmas tree it goes insane and climbs to like 70C lol. Only time I'm ever over 70 normally is in Shroud. SE's foliage in this game is brutal.
*Not on a laptop btw. A pretty well cooled desktop.

Yeah, this event does the same thing to my card. My graphics also chug in town, especially if I move the camera through one of the trees.
You'll laugh at this but I've found a cheap way to lower temp on laptops. I experimented on my own laptop and it dropped the temp down by 10 degrees C. All I did was stack a few empty dvd cases under the edges of my laptop allowing more room for air to pass below it. It worked, try it for yourself.
I see no temp difference on my Thermalright Silver Arrow heatsink.
Now my graphics card on the other hand it runs like furmark when ever my camera is zoomed in on one of the gaint trees.
my card runs at GPU 32~ % in uldah when just standing here
and almost everywhere else between 32-50% when fighting, or running about places.
however, the last few times i went to the moogle/ifrit NPC in gridania, it shot up to 90-100% in that little area where he is.
framerate took a huge it too.
not sure what is up with that spot
I know it's not cool to pick on people who don't speak English as a primary language, but the OP/title made me rofl.
I don't take ur word in heart but Your words MIGHT discouraging US not to post any thread here. Please walk away if you have problem understand my English. Thank You
I didn't wanna open a new thread for this, and figured this is a good place to mention this. I don't mean to derail please forgive me. But anyone else notice how the snow seems to be all the way up to the screen? Like the whole animation, or i guess sprite appears to be occurring in front of my camera. The snow doesn't appear to have any depth to it. It doesn't feel like there is snow happening in the background, you guys know what i mean? Also the snow thats really close to the camera shouldn't look blurry, or am i just getting picky?(also the rain is the same exact way, its like the entire effect is pasted to the very forefront of the camera, and its not happening anywhere around the character...)
