Finally WAR storyline is at least enjoyable. The prev one (ARR & HW) was boring as heck.

MNK felt like it was building up to a big moment the entire time, only to have a really lackluster fight and no real progress on anything.
I did like that a lot of familiar faces show up in most of the job quests this time around.
Having my Rogue's guild buddies, Princess Yuki, and Karasu all return in the Ninja quests was fun, especially with the latter of them helping in the last fight and making snarky remarks at you the whole way through.
Out of my 70s, I really enjoyed the AST 60-70 storyline. Much better than the 30-50 and 50-60, in my opinion. BRD was meh, and I didn't care for it. But I wasn't too surprised because I haven't liked any of the BRD storylines. RDM was pretty good. And I loved the level 60 SAM quest (SAM just hit 60 today). CUL was cute; didn't pay attention to BOT or MIN or FSH (FSH is 68).
I have heard the 70 DRK quest is on par with the 30-50 storyline. So I am working on her right now between WHM and SAM.

I honestly wasn't a big fan of the AST or SMN storylines for 60-70. I liked the lore potential they offered more than the execution. But that is kind of par for the course for me -- I enjoyed the class quests way more than any job quest in the game.
The RDM was good, SAM seems good so far... WHM was really kinda meh, but so was the HW one so I didn't expect much.
I disliked the PLD quest quite a bit, in fact it was the first time I thought about skipping CS's. Then again, I also dislike everything about SE's messed up PLD lore in this game. I wanted to be a holy knight from a kingdom of knights and honor, like Ishgard, not a pit fighter from the city of coin and greed.
SE should really retcon the lore so PLD's are from Ishgard and BLU are the new sultansworn in 5.0. Not only would both jobs fit their city themes better, but having DRK, PLD, and DRG all from the same kingdom in game would be a nice callback to FFIV's Cecil and Kain.
But that's just my two gil on the subject.
I really, really, REALLY like how a lot of the Job Quests bring back older NPCs. Builds a greater sense of continuity that I just adore.
Thus far my only complaint is the finale of the Summoner Questline. In Heavensward there was a lot of build-up and ceremony, complete with an awesome cutscene where you used Deathflare for the first time in the final quest. Comparatively there's nothing at all to officiate having learned to actually summon Bahamut. Just a frankly rather overlong single-player duty, and then "okay, you learned a thing, done." Was rather anticlimactic, especially after the prior duty facing down an army of Sephirot-egis. Which was a massive[ly annoying] tease just btw.
AST is good becauseIt hints Geomancer as a job.
Only done the BRD ones and DRK to 65 so far, but I think the DRK ones are fine as is? Maybe it's just because I love the NPCs, but I've found the dialogue hilarious enough to make up for the kind of boring fights, and I appreciated the continued humor so that it doesn't feel like everything is grim and dark. It's also nice to see the return of some NPCs I did not think we'd ever see again.
The BRD ones were... not very interesting at all, and that's about all I have to say about that.
