How would the playerbase feel about buying a housing plot from the MogStation?

It won't happen because buying a house is one of the most prestigious aspects of the game. Not just getting the cash but owning a plot which is very limited and high demand. It also ensures continued subs by people who are playing less but just don't want to lose their precious plot. Paid plots would ruin all of that.

Not that sure. I had to take an almost 4 months break and lost two mansions (personal and FC's). IRL matters.

Considering how empty most housing wards are, they really need to consider a whole revamp of housing system. At least they should separate FC's housing and personal housing. Housing wards are even more empty since there is personal housing. If system is build as I think (and which explains why they keep the system like it is), it is a waist of ressources. I'm afraid to think they build housing as if it be a map when the amount of people yell for an instance system, for personal houses, as it is for apartments and rooms.
