And get rid of multiple types per tier.

If you get a tier IV materia it should have one value. not 4.

I like this idea in combination with the stacking if the same tier.

I would ask that the materia the change happen so that all NEW materia of the tier is one value and stackable.

And possibly (and I do mean possibly) consolidating the catalysts to the tier. Dare I say... even just using Dark Matter?
