Stuck in Combat Mode forever?

Good morning people! I am semi new to the scene although I am a long time MMO player. I thought I could ask you guys a question about a matter that is really hampering my FFXIV Ps4 experience - I was wondering how to manually disengage myself from combat? I seem to get stuck in this mode even for about 30 seconds plus after defeating an enemy, and I cant sheathe my weapon, interact with NPCs or do anything but edit the hotbar. Its very annoying as I have to wait to do anything after any fight, and I mistakenly use battle commands as I cant even do things from the L2 side of the hotbar - I cant take my potions etc. I would sometimes like to also force my way out of combat if I need to escape etc.
Is there a way to toggle active/passive/battle mode for ps4?

EDIT - It was a false alarm, I just found out my R@ button is faulty! Sigh! Thanks for tolerating my post people! <3

You fixed it, but thought I'd still add this in case you found it interesting to utilize...

You can map the battle mode stance to the L3 or R3 buttons by creating a macro and then assigning it via the controller configuration menu. In the macro menu, you have to use macro slots 98 or 99, and then go to system config/controller, and tweak the stick controls for it.

The macro command is just /bm.

This will allow you to sheathe/unsheathe at will. You can also stack more functions to it as you get more into the game, to turn the L3 and R3 buttons into powerful multi-action single-press tools. I use it for battle mode on/off, mounts, clearing buffs, MCH turret retrieval, etc.

Hold L1 then R1 to sheath/unsheath weapons. Also you can still talj to npcs when in Combat. Some commanda maybe unavailable to you as long as a enemy you aggroed is still near by.
